Bolton Abbey in Wharfedale, North Yorkshire, England, takes its name from the ruins of the 12th-century Augustinian monastery now known as Bolton Priory. The priory, closed in the 1539 Dissolution of the Monasteries ordered by King Henry VIII, is in the Yorkshire Dales, next to the village of Bolton Abbey.

The estate is open to visitors, and includes many miles of all-weather walking routes. The Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway terminates at Bolton Abbey station one and a half miles/2.5 km from Bolton Priory.

Grassington is a village and civil parish in North Yorkshire, England. Historically part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, and now in the lieutenancy area of North Yorkshire, the village is situated in Wharfedale, about 8 miles (10 km) north-west from Bolton Abbey, and is surrounded by limestone scenery.

Ilkley Moor is part of Rombalds Moor, the moorland between Ilkley and Keighley in West Yorkshire, England. Ilkley is a full days walk from Burnsall, a short car ride is better advised. It is the start of the Dales Way and a days walk from Luke & Inge's home. It has plenty of shops and amenities including the a mainline railway station. Not to mention Luke & Inge's favorite butchers and bakery. A pub at the top of the hill over the town is one of Luke & Inges favorites, The Cow and Calf, named after the rocks it is over the road from. An excellent view awaits those who climb it.
